Today is World Dyslexia Day, and we have so much to celebrate here at SCES! ❤️🦁

Yesterday, our entire school came together wearing RED to chapel in honor of World Dyslexia Day, raising awareness and showing our love and support for our incredible Dyslexia Program and the students who are part of it!
We kicked off the morning with coffee and donuts in our Dyslexia Center before chapel, and what a wonderful turnout it was! The room was packed with families, smiles, and so much support. ❤️

This day holds a special place in our hearts because our Dyslexia Program is truly one of the things that makes St. Cyprian's so special. We are incredibly proud of our renowned program, and this year, we are celebrating a record-breaking number of students enrolled in dyslexia therapy! 🎉

At SCES, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed in the way that works best for them. Our one-on-one dyslexia therapy allows us to meet each student exactly where they are, working at their own pace and building the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
What we do here makes a difference, and we get to see that difference in our students every single day! ❤️

We are so thankful for our dedicated dyslexia therapists, our supportive families, and our amazing students who remind us that learning differently doesn't mean learning less.

☀️✏️ Sometimes the best classroom is right outside!

We looked out the window this morning to see Mrs. Molly, one of our dyslexia therapists, taking her session outdoors! With the beautiful weather, it was the perfect morning to grab some chalk, head to the sidewalk, and practice letters in a fun new way!
We love that learning at SCES doesn’t always have to happen sitting behind a desk. Our teachers and therapists are always finding ways to meet our students where they are, keep them engaged, and make learning just a little more fun. ❤️

Check out our 4K artists experimenting with watercolors!

This week, our students are learning all about the letter I, and what better way to bring it to life than by painting colorful insects! 🦋🐞🐜

We love watching their creativity come to life as they explore new colors, techniques, and ways to make each piece their own. Learning is always more fun when you get to be creative! 🎨✨

On Friday mornings, our Middle School students host a Math Times Table Study Session before school for any elementary student who could use a little extra help!

There’s something so special about seeing our older Lions step up, encourage our younger students, and help them build confidence and be successful. These are the moments that make our Lion family so special! 🥹

🍂 We’re diving headfirst into FALL over here at SCES! 🍁

Mrs. Becky has been taking full advantage of these cooler mornings with some of our preschool students! From heading outside on leaf hunts and exploring nature to creating leaf rubbings, there’s been plenty of hands-on learning happening outside the classroom. 🌿🎨

They even found a dragonfly during one of their adventures and took the opportunity to study it closely before drawing what they observed! 🪷🖍️

Any excuse to get outside AND tie in art is right up Mrs. Becky’s alley! We love watching our littlest Lions explore, create, and learn from the world around them. 🦁❤️🍂

This week, our Kindergarten students are learning all about Johnny Appleseed with daily apple-themed activities, experiments, and lots of hands-on fun!

Yesterday, Mrs. Tammi’s class got creative and made their very own apple trees for snack—and they LOVED it! 🍎🌳

WE WILL NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

Today, St. Cyprian’s Episcopal School pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the incredible courage, sacrifice, and selflessness shown by first responders, service members, and ordinary Americans in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

As a school community, we pray for the families who continue to carry the loss of loved ones and give thanks for the heroes who ran toward danger to help others. May we continue to teach our students the importance of courage, compassion, service, and unity.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Today was one of our FAVORITE days of the school year—GRANDPARENTS DAY CHAPEL! ❤️🦁

This morning, we had the privilege of inviting our grandparents to join us for chapel as we celebrated and honored the incredibly special role they play in the lives of our students. Our hearts were so full seeing a packed house with more than 300 people gathered together! What a beautiful reminder of just how special our SCES family truly is. ❤️

After chapel, our grandparents got to take their grandkids to the Scholastic Book Fair, which is always such a fun tradition and a sweet way to make even more memories together! 📚✨

To all of our wonderful grandparents—thank you for the love, encouragement, wisdom, and support you pour into our students each and every day. Your impact is immeasurable, and we are so grateful for each of you.
