Piney Woods Chess Association We are dedicated to helping others learn how to play chess and improve their skills while having fun playing the game. We host tournaments throughout the year.

Classes are on Mondays 5:30-6:30 pm at Lufkin Parks and Recreation Center.

Save the date! Our next chess tournament is scheduled for August 29, 2026. Registration should open in early August. Rated (sanctioned) and non-rated (non-sanctioned) sections will be available.
