Justin Torrey is what happens when you mix caffeine, chaos, patriotism, and a refusal to sit still and mind your own business.

Founder of Operation Veterans Vacation, he looked at the world one day and said, “Yeah… this isn’t working. Let’s fix it with campfires.” And not the cute Instagram kind—the real kind. Dirt-under-your-nails, kids-running-wild, veterans-finally-exhaling kind.

He doesn’t do “networking events.” He builds environments where complete strangers show up carrying invisible weight and leave arguing over who makes the best burgers on a charcoal grill. His version of therapy? Folding chairs, late-night conversations, and a cooler that somehow never runs out.

Justin operates somewhere between organized mission and beautiful madness. One minute he’s coordinating families, the next he’s hauling gear, solving problems, and making sure nobody feels like an outsider—even if they showed up convinced they didn’t belong anywhere.

Operation Veterans Vacation isn’t just a program—it’s controlled chaos with a purpose. It’s kids laughing too loud, veterans finally unclenching, and families remembering what normal feels like… even if just for a weekend. No uniforms required. No rank. Just humans being human again.
