If you’ve been around our community for a while, you might notice we offer a lot of matching grants—and that’s very intentional.

When we match a gift, we’re not just doubling dollars—we’re encouraging broader participation, inviting new donors in, and helping organizations build sustainable support beyond any one grant.

It’s also about shared investment. When individuals, families, and businesses give alongside us, it strengthens the sense that this is our community and our work. That is the power of "we".

Simply put: matching grants help turn good efforts into collective impact—and that’s where real, lasting change happens.

Some current match opportunities are shared on our page.

Had the chance to watch the First Robotics State competition, and let me tell you, this is an incredible program that is more than a school club, but equipping students with essential life skills, including gracious leadership. It was phenomenal to see it in action. The O-Bots team earned their spot; now help them go and celebrate their achievements on and off the field.

Let's raise the roof for Sandcastles, A Lake Michigan Children's Museum! Every dollar you give gets matched to help repair the roof and support Sandcastles historic space for children and families learning and growing.

HUGE NEWS: Pennies From Heaven has offered up a $50,000 matching grant to support our Roof Restoration Fund! Every dollar will be matched 100%, but we have to meet the match goal first! That's where we (and you) all come in.

We could really use your help. $1, $25, $100...maybe you happen to know someone who is looking for a way to maximize their impact with a significantly larger gift. This is the time to jump on the chance to support the museum and help preserve a piece of Ludington's history.

We appreciate you all so much! ❤️

One of the best parts of this work is getting to walk alongside organizations as they dream big—and then actually achieve it.

Congratulations, Lakeshore Keepers, on the successful completion of the Big Sable Lighthouse campaign. It takes courage to ask, persistence to keep going, and a community willing to show up.

Grateful we could play a small role in something that will make a meaningful difference for so many.

🎉 Huge news from Lakeshore Keepers! 🎉

In just 4 months, we’ve completed our largest-ever capital campaign—raising $450,000 to restore the exterior of the historic keeper’s dwelling at Big Sable Point Lighthouse.

Thanks to incredible community support (and matching gifts from generous donors), this project is already 2 years ahead of schedule! Restoration work will begin in 2026 and will continue into 2027—just in time for Big Sable Point’s 160th anniversary.

Come see it for yourself—Big Sable Point opens May 4, 2026, with our four other lighthouses opening throughout May. We can’t wait to welcome you this summer!

Our Executive Director attended on our behalf to share a brief message of pride and encouragement to the students, staff, and administrators for their hard work and investment in building literacy skills for every student. Literacy is a key that opens doors of opportunity. We want to support and encourage those in our region working to build up literacy in students.
