The Hamlin Lake Preservation Society is a non-profit, educational organization that represents riparian owners and interested friends of Hamlin Lake. Our organization does this in a variety of ways from monitoring water quality and w**d distribution, producing a newsletter, to sponsoring activities on the lake such as fireworks, and sailboat races.

On June 1, 2026, 150,000 walleye were stocked in Hamlin Lake.

This stocking is one example of the work being done to preserve and protect the lake we all love. Healthy fisheries don't happen by accident. They require partnerships, planning, and ongoing investment in Hamlin Lake's future.

The Hamlin Lake Preservation Society is proud to support initiatives that enhance water quality, protect habitat, and strengthen our fishery for future generations.

If you value a healthy Hamlin Lake, please consider supporting our efforts. Together, we can help ensure that Hamlin Lake remains a place where families fish, boat, swim, and create memories for years to come.

We’ve seen a lot of people posting lately about the health of Hamlin Lake, and we’re genuinely glad to see so much passion and engagement around a place we all care deeply about.

The truth is, we all have a role to play in the lake’s overall health. Whether it’s maintaining septic systems, protecting shorelines, managing runoff, removing invasive species, or supporting conservation efforts, every one of us can make a difference.

Let’s channel that energy into action. Join Hamlin Lake Preservation Society, the only nonprofit solely dedicated to the health of Hamlin Lake, (www.hamlinlakepreservationsociety.org) Walk your shoreline. Check your septic. Consider your environmental impact.

That’s one of the best ways we can help protect the lake we all love. I Love Hamlin Lake (Ludington, MI)
