We would like to give a shout out to the amazing volunteers we had yesterday.
It’s hard to appreciate their work unless you do it. Our team starts early in the morning to ensure a smooth loading of vendors, putting up signs, sponsor banners and set up of ticket sales and more!
And then more volunteers come in to man the gates, help park food vendors, ensure handicap spaces are taken by those who need it, and more. These jobs are hard. People aren’t always nice, it’s hot as heck, and coordination of traffic control is crazy!
After the event, we are still there to help vendors get out, ensure attendees get out safely, cleaning up trash and more. We get home at midnight or later.
We give up time with our own families sometimes to make sure the event goes safely and smoothly.
None of these jobs are for the weary. At the end of the night we are all ready to fall into bed and sleep for an entire day!
So thank you to everyone who helped out yesterday. No matter how big or small your part was, we appreciate you! We see you and can’t thank you enough!
