Rising Outdoor Initiative

Rising Outdoor Initiative Empowering future generations through outdoor experiences. Our mission is to provide hunting and fishing opportunities to those with limited resources.

Rising Outdoor Initiative (ROI) is a newly established nonprofit dedicated to empowering future generations through hands-on outdoor experiences. We aim to model sportsmanship, teach essential techniques and safety skills, and educate on the vital role that responsible hunting and fishing play in conservation efforts. Through our work, we seek to raise awareness about the importance of outdoor pra

ctices in sustaining our economy and ecosystems, ensuring a lasting impact for both individuals and the environment.

After our first full year of being in operation has come and gone, we truly feel like we’re heading in the right direction and building something special. This past year has shown us what’s possible, and it has motivated us even more to push forward and do bigger and better things in the year ahead.

None of this is possible without the support of those who believe in what we’re doing. As we continue to grow, we are always in need of help through sponsors, donations, partnerships, volunteers, and community support. Every bit of involvement—big or small—helps us make a greater impact and continue building for the future.

If anyone has interest, suggestions, or leads, or simply wants to be a part of what we’re building, please message us. We’re excited about what’s ahead and grateful for everyone who has helped us get this far.

Thank you,

We did a little squirrel hunting this morning. It’s not only fun for kids—it’s a true skill-building hunt. They learn how to shoot off-hand or use a tree for a rest, along with stalking and patience. They learn how to read sign and really get to know the property—not just squirrel sign, but deer and all the other critters too.

We found a shed antler, deer trails, hooked trees, scrapes, and even a coyote den. This is how I grew up hunting before ever getting into deer hunting. I truly believe squirrel hunting hones your skills and makes you a better all-around hunter, woodsman, and tracker.Bradley Howell Jackie Howell After Hours Taxidermy and Outfitter's

Ms. Finleigh got her first buck yesterday afternoon alongside her father, Adam S Friedlander, at one of our ROI board members’ properties.

What makes this even more special is that Brandon (my brother), Adam, and I all shared many firsts together when we were kids coming up hunting. Now it’s come full circle as we pass it on to the next generation.

Congratulations again, Finleigh. That was a great shot, and I know you made your dad proud.

The young ones got in done in Texas. Nothing like watching these kids getting excited about taking a deer. When that blind starts shaking. You know they’re fired up. Those smiles say it all!!

Nothing better than following a good blood trail and seeing your deer at the end of it. Especially when it’s a kid. Watch his facial expression when he finally sees it. Gotta love it! After Hours Taxidermy and Outfitter's

Thank you, Brian Rowe, for doing what you do and for getting these kids outdoors. It’s selfless people like you that make Rising Outdoor Initiative possible. Without the support of others, we would not be here. Thank you again, sir, and congratulations to all the youth hunters.
