Update: As some of you may know I was in a bad car accident on Monday, Sept. 23, and was badly injured. Yesterday I went for my follow-up doctor visit and he said that I was healing well, actually faster than they had hoped. The dizziness and Nausea are subsiding more and more with each day so the Concussion is healing. I want to thank all of you who are praying for us, please continue we need all we can get.

Love you all in Jesus name

If you are a child of God who is being tested, tried, or even persecuted by the enemy. Don't worry God's got this, just count it all joy!
But if you are a believer and you've got everything working for you and have had since you chose to identify with Christ. There is great cause for concern, you need to seek the Lord and throw yourself down guilty before him, because you are in deep trouble friend.

A Season Warrior
The U.S. military has several special groups that handle situations that are too involved for the regular non-com to handle. These Army rangers, Navy seals and so on undergo cruel, grueling training to be able to do what they do. If you ever get to meet one of these people, it won't take long for you to realize these people are different.
In the word of God, the Apostle Paul outlined explicitly that Christians are in a war against evil. Paul laid out in great detail who we were fighting and (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) what kind of weapons of war we have at our disposal.

Ep 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

II Cor 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.
When it comes to special forces, many of these people are often socially handicapped and often feel lost or shut in when in social surroundings. Well, they may not can spin a good tale or show everyone up in Keroke, when these guys can do is fight!

By the same token I might not be the most prolific speaker or tell the funniest jokes. Let it be said of me that I can fight!

"Man old Brother Newell may not have been much of a social butterfly, but man he could pray!"

"Johnny wasn't much on sports or who the New Orleans Saints should pick as their first-round draft pick, but he had a lot of faith!"

"That old cripple didn't know much but hunting and fishing, but man he sure knew how to inspire and encourage folks!"

I leave you with this word of encouragement:
Eph 6:10 "Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might!"

I love you all in Jesus Name

Love 'em like Jesus

The greatest commandment of all is love. When it comes to love there is no greater love than Agape love or God's love for us, his creation. Did you know that Jesus didn't die for one Saint, nope there wasn't a saved and sanctified person in the whole group. No, ya see this was a bunch of good for nothin's that deserved hell and torment, but Jesus loved us enough to die for us when we weren't worth saving.
People often misunderstand God's love by thinking that God will love you like you are so you can just be you. While it is true that God will love you as you are, he will never leave you like you are. When Jesus was on earth, no one who came into his presence was ever the same again. His love, understanding, and patience were unwielding. It was that love that led him to Calvary to die in our stead. Yet that was just part of the plan, Jesus left a promise, a promise of a redeemer, a comforter which came to us in that upper room on the day of Pentecost. "Have you received the Holy Ghost since you have believed?"
God's love is still the same today, he knows all of us and is as the Psalmist said: is acquainted with all of our ways, yet if we die in our sins where he is we cannot go. Can you do it? Can you love them enough to tell them the truth? Sometimes love can be painful, because God's love is founded in truth, and we all know the truth hurts! If we can ever get to the point where we understand that true love requires us to "Tell it like it is, while we love them like they are! "

Good Morning All! This is the day that the Lord has made, be glad and rejoice in it!

October is "Pastor Appreciation" month and I want to take this opportunity to tell ya bout my Pastor, Chadwick Craft. I came to PGC to help my two older children who had chosen PGC as their home church at that time. The two asked me to come and help them get acclimated and then if the Lord allowed I could return to my current Church or move according to the leading of the Lord.
I called my current Pastor at MLC - More Life United Pentecostal Church Shirlon Davis and told him the situation and he encouraged me to go and help my children. I also called Pastor Craft and gave him the 411 as well. So we began our Journey at Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast This has been a decision that I have never regretted. I was Mentored by Pastor James K. Hankins of First Pentecostal Church of Vancleave Who was my spiritual father who taught me how to move my feet in the house of the Lord. He for all intents and purposes was like a father to me. Enter my current Pastor Chadwick Craft,
I can truthfully say I have never met a more "Soul Hungry" person than Chad Craft. He truly loves the lost and is ever eager to find new ways to reach them. But he is much more than that, both smart and wise to give advice and encouragement to his sheep and under-shepherds when they ask. A born leader, he knows how to delegate well. When He says hello he is genuinely glad to see you.
No, we don't always see eye to eye, but we know how to agree to disagree, agreeably. There no words to say how much I love and appreciate this, man and the love he shows us. We love you Pastor !

"Pray for your enemies"
Have you ever had someone who did you bad, or perhaps you helped them, and when you were down, they were nowhere to be found? Jesus talked about this in Matthew 5:43-45 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

This was radical teaching for Jesus Day; even now, many only pray for their enemy's downfall. Jesus made it abundantly clear that such a mentality was not his way. Most of us, have ignorantly fallen into the trap of having someone to help us, only to find that now because we accepted that help, we are reminded every time we see that person or persons. This too is not God, Jesus doesn't keep score. For that, I am eternally grateful.

How about this one, you share a struggle with a friend and they shared it with everyone else at your expense? Bitterness is one of the most toxic substances in Spiritual warfare. Like the plague, it affects and infects those who come in contact with it. The Apostle Paul explains why, Hebrews 12:

14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

And we have all seen "Brother and Sister 'been wronged" up there praying crying and shouting not for the salvation of their enemy's soul but because they want the whole church and the world for that matter to know they have been wronged by a "So called Saint of God!" No matter that them bemoaning their fate, is creating confusion and contention in the house God and could very likely cause someone to be lost. They were wronged and they are going to let everyone know who did it, and most importantly what was done! They have a right to let everybody know they have been hurt! After all "Whatever is done in darkness shall be brought to light!"
No matter that there is no correlation whatsoever between the true contextual meaning of that verse and the bitterness they are wallowing in. It works and it's God's word and that's all that is important!
Many when they are wronged fail to see that the person or persons who hurt them is already in trouble spiritually and the fact that they have drifted from the Lord has a lot to do with the hurting and harming others. This is the time when those souls need prayer intervention the most! The problem is, because of their own false pride, inferioritiess, and it's all about me, attitude, the wounded is often too blind to see that this person could soon become a casualty of war and be lost for all eternity.
Enter the Mentor: This is the time when a seasoned saint or elder needs to step up and lovingly expound to the wounded soul that, "It's not about them!" Yes, they were wrong, someone whom they trusted broke that trust. But that is not what is important here, what is important that the one who send be restored in a spirit of meekness and the rent in the delicate fabric of the Church is mended. It's time to educate all involved that it's not "Who's right" but rather "What's right". We must never forget that EVERY SOUL is precious and cannot afford to be lost. In the true spirit of Christ let us take today to forgive and pray for those who have wronged us.

Okay, so I have a confession to make, all of you who said: "Take it easy, don't overdo it!" You were right, I have come to accept that I was hurt a lot worse than I thought. However, I still claim in the name of Jesus that "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."
That being said, I have been reminded and warned that how I handle this recovery will determine my quality of life going forward. So as bad as I hate to admit it, I am taking it easy and doing my best to follow doctor / Therapist orders. So please continue to pray formy family, me, and our ministry.
