🧡🖤 STATE BOUND, LUCAS CUBS! 🖤🧡

The Lucas Cubs will be proudly represented at the OHSAA State Track & Field Championships on June 4th and 5th, with three outstanding athletes earning their place among Ohio’s best!

🏅 Katie Griffey – Shot Put
🏅 Joey Desterhaft – Long Jump, 110m Hurdles, and 300m Hurdles
🏅 Ray Lewis – 3200m, 1600m, and 800m

Adding to an incredible season, both Joey Desterhaft and Ray Lewis have etched their names into the record books by setting new Lucas High School records! Congratulations on these remarkable accomplishments!

We also want to recognize our regional qualifiers and finalists:

👏 Katie Griffey – 9th Place in Discus
👏 Riley Trumpower – 7th Place in Long Jump and 8th Place in the 300m Hurdles
👏 Mason Guegold – 14th Place in the 400m Dash

Your hard work, dedication, and commitment have made the Lucas community incredibly proud. Best of luck to Katie, Joey, and Ray as they compete on the biggest stage in Ohio!

🧡🖤 SECTIONAL CHAMPIONS 🖤🧡

Congratulations to the Lucas Cubs Baseball Team on bringing home the Sectional Championship! 🐻⚾ What an incredible accomplishment for this team, coaching staff, and community!

The Cubs continue their tournament run tomorrow, 5/28, as they take on South Central at Galion High School. First pitch is set for 2:00 PM.

What an incredible showing by our athletes at districts! We are proud to announce the following athletes have officially qualified for REGIONIALS:

🔥 Katie Griffey – Qualified in Shot Put & Discus
🥈 Runner-up in Discus

🔥 Riley Trumpower – District Champion in Long Jump
🥈 Runner-up in the 300H

🔥 Mason Guegold – 4th place in the 400

🔥 Ray Lewis – District Runner-up in the 3200 & 800
🥉 3rd place in the 1600
📚 Set SCHOOL RECORDS in both the 800 and 3200!

🔥 Joey Desterhaft – DISTRICT CHAMPION in:
🏆 110H
🏆 300H (breaking the meet record previously held by Caleb Camp!)
🏆 Long Jump
