Paws of Change’s mission is to keep animals off the streets and out of the shelters by providing resources education and advocacy. While Paws of Change is not a shelter or rescue taking in animals, we love supporting and advocating for the shelters in our area who are taking care of the animals in need.

Founded by Lauren Cline, Saving Grace animal rescue is located just a few minutes outside of the Lubbock city limits. Their facility is state-of-the-art with kennels and dog runs that allow the dogs to receive a good quality of life during their stay there before they are adopted to their fur-ever homes.

Saving Grace sits on 3 acres and has 23 kennels. To avoid overcrowding, their maximum intake is 25 animals. The dogs get a concrete kennel with blankets and bedding that are connected to long dog runs.

When the founder designed this rescue it was really important to her that the animals got to experience different textures throughout the day - concrete, pebbles and grass. Each dog gets sunshine and shade daily as well (assuming the weather cooperates).
�If you would like to make a monetary contribution to Saving Grace rescue you can do so at their website. If you would like to donate items, they are in need of peanut butter (to facilitate meds to the animals), Diamond Naturals dog food (but they are open to taking other brands) and cleaning supplies, such as EfferSan cleaning tablets.

If you would like to adopt a companion from Saving Grace, adoptions are held 9-12 on Sundays or by appointment - you can message them on Facebook to set up an appointment.

We’re so grateful to partner with Lubbock Impact, a faith-based nonprofit that has been serving the Lubbock community since 2007. They are a host location for one of our pet pantries with free pet food available to those in need.

Their mission is to empower the working poor by providing resources and enrichment programs that meet physical, spiritual, and emotional needs—helping provide the hope and tools needed to build a stronger future.

Lubbock Impact comes alongside our community in so many ways, offering a community meal, food and hygiene pantry, clothing and shoe closets, healthcare, dental care, optometry services, spiritual care, and enrichment programs.

And for Paws of Change, their partnership means something especially meaningful: our Pet Pantry is available through Lubbock Impact, helping make sure pets can have access to food right alongside the people who love them. 🐶🐱❤️

We believe prevention works best when organizations come together to meet the needs of the whole community—and Lubbock Impact is doing just that.

Pizza for Paws was our first ever fundraiser in June. Not to be too cheesy, but we got a generous piece of the ~pie~ thanks to everyone who came to support and ate a delicious meal.

In total we raised $1,463.19. We are so grateful for Parry’s Pizza for allowing us to host the fundraiser and for giving us a portion of sales totaling $758.19.

Also thank you to Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming for donating a raffle item that helped raise additional funds. We also had generous donors who contributed to our cause.

All around it was a very fun and successful event. We cannot wait to do it again! 🍕🐾❤️

How many pounds of pet food do you think we bagged this month? Leave your guess in the comments below! 👇

Each month we take lots of pet food and scoop it into gallon freezer bags to help it stretch further and feed more pets. These bags then get delivered to our local pantries where pet owners in need can get the pet food for free so their beloved pets don’t have to go without.

National Dog Day is approaching soon! Drop a pic of your rescue dog along with their story - share where you got them (or where they found you), their name, their favorite activity and anything else you want to share about them to be shared on our page!

We’ll go first - meet Beans. Beans is guesstimated at around 4 years old and was adopted by our founder, Blair, in 2024 from the South Plains SPCA. Beans was found by his foster mama at a local KFC trying to scrounge around for food. I guess you could say he likes fried chicken!

Beans loves to sunbathe, and his love language is definitely playing fetch. His underbite is quite possibly the best one we’ve seen (but feel free to prove us wrong if your baby has a good one), and he has a goofy personality.

Beans is happy and thriving now that he is in his fur-ever home. Remember folks, you may not change the world by adopting one dog, but you will change THEIR whole world. 🐾💚
