In her session, Generative AI & Strategic Communication, Lisa will explore how communication professionals can use AI to improve efficiency, spark new ideas, and streamline their workflows without losing the human judgment, creativity, relationships, and strategic thinking that make our work valuable. A lot is happening at AWC Lubbock!

We’re excited to welcome our 2026–2027 Board of Directors and celebrate the leaders who continue to strengthen our chapter.

A heartfelt thank you to Hailey Walker for her dedication and leadership over the past year. As she passes the gavel to incoming president Katelynn Horton, we’re grateful for all she has done and look forward to another great year under Katelynn’s leadership.

We also had the honor of recognizing Jo Nelon for her years of service to the communications industry and her lasting contributions to AWC.

Whitney Willis and Jenny Bowler were presented with the Leading Change Award for their work expanding our chapter’s digital presence through the redesign of our website.

Congratulations to each of these incredible women. Thank you for the time, talent, and passion you invest in our chapter!

A big thank you to LeAnne Lagasse for speaking at our AWC luncheon earlier this week!

Her session on self-awareness, leadership, and intentional communication provided practical insight into how the way we show up professionally shapes trust, relationships, and influence. We loved the real-world takeaways on aligning our values, voice, and presence in every interaction.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a meaningful afternoon! And congratulations to Tieler and Yvonne for wining the book raffle!

We can’t wait for our next luncheon featuring LeAnne Lagasse on Tuesday, May 12th!

In her session, The Congruent Communicator: How Self-Awareness Builds Trust and Influence, LeAnne will share practical ways to strengthen self-awareness, communicate with greater intention, and build trust in professional relationships. Through reflection and real-world examples, attendees will leave with tools to better align their values, voice, and presence in every interaction.

Plus, LeAnne will be giving away copies of her book, The Congruent Leader, to a few attendees!
