It was a pleasure getting to know Eric Barber today as we presented our second check from Lubbock LEAD in honor of his father John Barber.

Eric spoke of his dad fondly and specifically mentioned that while the work at Lubbock Police Department was tough he didn't shy away from putting in the work that was required. We also talked about how that kind of charecter is rare in todays world.

We were able to honor Donna Roache as Lubbock LEAD's first recepiant. Donna faithfully served at Lubbock Police Department for over 24 years in the Records Deparment.

Donna mentioned today that she was often early to work as there was much to get done within her deparment. Donna is amazing and while her stroke may have slowed her down a little she remains an amazing person with so very much hope for the world.

This is only made possible by the supporters of Lubbock LEAD over the last few years. Thanks for sticking in there and helping make this happen!

A BIG Thank You to everyone who participated.

We were able to raise over $20,000 that is going towards local law enforcment and thier families in need.

Our committee has already identified several canidates to be blessed by these funds!

I am also proud to say that this committee functioned with $0 used toward administrative fees. That means that 100% of the money raised will be given away.

Thanks for everyone that has been patient over the last few years as we raised funds. We may not be the quickest moving group, but we never gave up!
