Llano Estacado Chapter, Quail Forever/Pheasants Forever We are the Lubbock area chapter of Quail Forever. QF is a grassroots, volunteer, membership-based organization.

Our goal is to promote upland habitat conservation on a local, statewide and national scale as we raise up the next generation of hunter-conservationists. Members are a diverse group of hunters, farmers, ranchers, landowners, conservation enthusiasts and wildlife officials. The common thread is that all want to make a difference for wildlife by conserving or creating habitat.

The importance of local-grown, NATIVE seed (especially habitat restoration) can’t be stated enough. Just because a plant grows in Illinois and Texas does not mean that the seed from Illinois will germinate in Texas. That’s why for our habitat projects we source seed from the likes of Bamert Seed Company, Douglass King Seeds and Turner Seed Co.

Just because a seed blend says “Texas” on the bag, does not mean it is sourced in Texas. Set yourself up for success and check your label.
