We meet for lunch on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. Visitors are welcome!

The Caprock AMBUCS was started over 65 years ago to help people with disabilities have independent mobility. The 2nd oldest club in Lubbock joins with the Downtown ABC and Monterey clubs in accomplishing this mission, Caprock using the Caprock Classic basketball tournament around the Christmas time to fund over 12 local charities, provide scholarships to physical and occupational therapists, ramp building and basketball tournament scholarships.

The Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS and Lubbock Caprock AMBUCS chapters invite you to join us for an Ice Cream Social at Holly Hop Ice Cream Shoppe on Friday, November 6, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Come enjoy a sweet treat while learning how AMBUCS and our Amtryke program are making a difference in the lives of children and adults with mobility challenges. This casual, come-and-go event is a great opportunity to meet local AMBUCS members, connect with fellow therapists, see adaptive Amtrykes up close, and discover how you can help identify clients who may benefit from these life-changing therapeutic tricycles.

Whether you're already familiar with Amtrykes or just curious to learn more, we'd love to visit with you and share how we can work together to create mobility, independence, and joy throughout our community.

We were honored to stand alongside High Point Village as they broke ground on their new residential community, creating a place where adults with intellectual disabilities can live with greater independence, connection, and purpose.

As our Chapter President Joe Hoelscher said, “This is a gift that will outlive each one of us.”

We’re incredibly proud of our Lubbock Caprock AMBUCS members who have given their time, energy, and support to make moments like this possible.

Congratulations, High Point Village. We can’t wait to watch this vision become a reality. 💙

Great meeting today at Lubbock Caprock AMBUCS!

A big thank you to Matt Moreland for joining us and sharing his knowledge and insight on what’s coming to Lubbock, what’s not, and what we can expect as our community continues to grow. We appreciate you spending your time with us, Matt!
