Happy Juneteenth! Today, we celebrate the resilience, strength, and rich history of the Black community. Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in the United States were informed of their freedom, a powerful reminder of the ongoing journey toward equality and justice.
At RMHC of the Southwest, we honor this day by reflecting on our commitment to supporting families in their times of need, regardless of their background. We believe that every family deserves a safe and loving environment, especially during challenging times.
