We want to wish a huge congratulations to Garron A. for successfully completing his Eagle Scout Service Project and passing his Eagle Board of Review! Garron is the final Eagle Scout to have earned his Rank with the South Plains Council 🦅

For his project, Garron led a team of volunteers to enhance the Science Spectrum in Lubbock, Texas!
His hard work included: Building 6 custom slatted wooden benches to provide much-needed seating for the museum's butterfly exhibit. Laser-engraving the benches with butterfly designs and the Science Spectrum logo for a beautiful, permanent touch. Rehabilitating a 42-foot flowerbed, including removing grass, installing new drip lines, and adding fresh mulch to beautify the museum's entrance!

This project required over 170 man-hours of planning and leadership. We are so proud of Garron’s commitment to serving his community and achieving the highest rank in Scouting! 🦅🇺🇸

Cub Scouts are invited to join us at our annual Summer Cub Day filled with hands-on activities, outdoor fun, and prehistoric excitement! We will also have our exciting ice cream & pool party from 3-5, so make sure to stick around all afternoon!

We are excited to share about another wonderful Scout that earned the rank of Eagle, Caleb J from Troop 575! 🦅

Caleb led a project to design and build instrument shelving inside the currently empty Southcrest Christian School band trailer. The project aims to organize limited space and protect expensive instruments from damage during transport to competitions!

Caleb's project involved fundraising and organizing teams of youth and adults to execute his vision. Through strong leadership and a willing group of volunteers this project was completed with amazing results.

Last night we celebrated Nathan and Sammie’s retirement with the South Plains Council! Nathan has led as the Scout Executive for 15 years now (32 years total as a Scouting professional), and Sammie has spent 25 years managing the office. They have both made such an incredible impact on the Scouting community, and we will miss them being apart of our team. We wish nothing but the best for both of them!! ❤️💙
