Lubbock HS Speech & Debate

10/18/2026

What a day for Lubbock High Speech & Debate!

Our Westerners brought home three 1st-place finishes, three 2nd-place finishes, two TFA State qualifiers, and a NIETOC National qualifier!

But the highlight of the day was watching four of our novices advance to outrounds for the very first time! We love seeing their hard work pay off, and the future of Westerner Debate looks bright!

Special shoutout to Coach Woods and the amazing students at Monterey Plainsmen Speech & Debate for hosting an incredible tournament.

SPEAK PRETTY! 🖤💛
