Thank you all for participating in becoming a Hub City Guardian. Here, we will raise awareness by keeping each other in the loop on local activities in, and out of the club scene. We understand it’s not possible to prevent everything, but the more we hold club owners, bouncers, and bar tenders accountable, we feel it will reduce the likelihood of putting our youth in danger. Please note, we are not trying to get in the way of the fun, we just want your family member to come home! How will we do this?
1.) We have teamed up with the TABC, and they are willing to help in anyway possible. If you notice anything going on in a club that shouldn’t, feel free to contact the LPD first, and then message us your experience. Whether it’s someone underage being served alcohol, paraphernalia/drug activity or etc. Your identity will be kept confidential. Complaints are needed in order for TABC to take action.
2.) TABC has informed us that there is no age limit to individuals in the club scene. The age limit is strictly the owners call. This means, a 14 year old can legally go in to a club if the door guy lets him!! As a Hub City Guardian, if you are present in any location where alcohol is being served, it is your responsibility to make sure you keep your eyes open.
3.) We love our great city of Lubbock, and we have nothing against the night life. All we want to do is bring awareness to what could potentially be your last night.
