UnOne Surgical Mission

UnOne Surgical Mission We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing partnerships and coordinating services to aid with surgical needs in global rural communities.

unOne is a nonprofit surgical team that is based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are a group of healthcare professionals that travel to rural communities in Central America to deliver medical and surgical services. Our first mission was spent in El Estor, Guatemala. Surgical care in this area is critical in improving the quality of life of its residents. Many painful debilitations can be fixed

with a simple surgical procedure, but getting the procedure done in a hospital is typically impossible if not detrimental to one's income. We worked with local doctors to ensure proper follow up care and infection prevention. Monitoring of patients is ongoing and accomplished through telecommunications with the local partnering medical professionals. Our mission in El Estor has served as the prototype of what unOne stands to accomplish in Central America and beyond.
