A story of adaptation, collaboration, and an unexpected home for one of Florida’s most remarkable shorebirds.

This short documentary explores how man-made islands became important nesting habitat for American oystercatchers, and the people and organizations working together to help them thrive.

Following the screening, we’ll be joined by representatives from the Florida Inland Navigation District, Palm Beach County, and the Indian River Lagoon for a conversation about the project, the birds, and the work behind the story.
