he goal of Rise Up/Youth Sports football camp is directly connected to its mission, to maximize the health and leadership potential of all youth. The camp promotes physical exercise as a component of healthy living. Additionally, the camp uses this sports participation as an anti-bullying promotion and platform to support positive character development such as sportsmanship, work ethic and resilience. As one of the central annual activities of the foundation, the camp provides access and positive interactions with community-based mentor and role models. A germane aspect of the foundation’s mission is to be particularly sensitive to the health and mentorship needs of those who are socioeconomically and congenitally vulnerable in the Nassau/Suffolk and NYC metro area. The camp provides that type of access to a diverse population of youth. We encourage and emphasize the importance of respect, generosity, fairness, honesty and good citizenship of each person associated our camp activities.
