Wildlife Wonderland is very passionate about each and every species that is part of our troop and we take great pride in being able to educate kids and adults about the animals statuses the wild, the affect we have on the environment and the truth of what sacrifice goes in to taking these animals on as "pets". a lot of our videos and such are cute an funny but don't let that fool you in to thinkin

g any of these babies are at all easy, in fact as a mother of 3 I would consider it equal to having a toddler. I hope we are able to open eyes and prevent people from impulsively buying exotics.

❤️Forever my favorite place will always be wherever they are.
As much as people say I save them I don’t think I could ever fully explain how much they save me.

🪽When the world feels heavy the animals here give me purpose, peace and a reason to keep going. They make me laugh on the hard days, remind me to slow down and appreciate the little things, and somehow always seem to know exactly when I need them most.

‼️The reality is that most of the animals here are hands off and the sweet animals and moments like this are rare. Many of them have been failed by people, misunderstood, neglected, or discarded when they became too difficult to handle. But the ones I have built a bond with make every bite, scratch, sleepless night, setback, and attitude worth it.

🙏💞I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who believes in what we’ve built at Wildlife Wonderland and helps make this mission possible. Because of your support, I’m able to dedicate my life to the animals nobody else wanted the aggressive ones, the misunderstood ones, and the ones who simply needed a second chance.
They need me, but the truth is… I need them too.

🚨 HELP US NAME THIS BABY GOAT WE SAVED! 🚨
(And reach our food fund goal it’s 5 DOLLA FRIDAY)
🎀This little girl is here today because my kids were paying attention. We knew one of our goats had given birth, but we had no idea where the babies were hiding. Oliver ended up finding them and immediately noticed something wasn’t right with this baby’s rear end.

🫣💩When they brought her to me, I honestly thought we were dealing with a prolapse. Thankfully after a long warm soak we realized it was something else entirely: a massive amount of dried f***s that had completely built up around her exit door!

⚠️While that may not sound like a big deal it absolutely could have become one.
☠️If left untreated this buildup could have prevented her from passing stool normally leading to impaction, bloating, severe discomfort, and potentially a life threatening situation. There was so much buildup that there is no way it would have naturally fallen off on its own. It took quite a bit of work to safely remove it.

🙏So today thanks to Oliver’s sharp eyes and a little bit of luck this sweet baby girl got the help she needed before things became an emergency.

‼️ Just another completely normal day here at Wildlife Wonderland where a routine walk outside can turn into a medical rescue mission in a matter of minutes.

‼️One donated ham = 30+ very happy animals at Wildlife Wonderland. ‼️To be completely honest, we’re struggling to reach our food fund goal right now. Our $2 Tuesday fundraiser hasn’t gained much traction and feeding over 100 rescued animals in today’s economy is no small task. Produce costs more, feed costs more, building supplies cost more… and the calls for taking in aggressive lemurs has not stopped.

🐒This is the perfect example of how one small act of kindness creates a ripple effect. From the lemurs to the pigs, everyone got to enjoy a special treat today thanks to an incredibly generous donation from Kathy.

❤️Luca is one of our recent brown lemur surrenders who’s only been known to target two people so far and both happened to be women. So naturally because I make excellent life choices I decided to take the risk and see what happened.

🫣Truthfully I wasn’t sure if Luca would form a bond with any of us. Many surrendered primates arrive with complicated histories and every animal adjusts differently. But so far, he has absolutely exceeded expectations and has been nothing short of adorable.

⚠️Now before anyone watches this video and decides they need a lemur, let’s talk reality.
Lemurs are terrible pets I don’t care what a breeder told you.

‼️Whether it’s a ring tailed lemur, ruffed lemur or a brown lemur like Luca, they all reach sexual maturity and most become increasingly difficult to manage.
🩸They can be incredibly aggressive, cause serious injuries, and have sent more owners, family members and friends to the hospital than I can count.
🔴They can climb literally every surface in your home so kiss your decorations goodbye!
And no they do not potty train.
Cute baby lemurs grow up & The challenges don’t go away.

🏠That’s why facilities like Wildlife Wonderland are so important. We take in the animals that many others won’t the ones that come with significant risks, behavioral issues, and complicated histories. Animals that need a place to go when their owners realize they were never meant to be pets in the first place.

🐒Here in Texas, lemurs are unfortunately sold far too often and rescues like ours are desperately needed to give them a safe place when things don’t work out.
