Lura’s enjoying a relaxing day in her firehose hammock! While clouded leopards are primarily active in the dark they will happily run and play during the day, taking breaks for a cat nap in between. Kendi, and everyone else at Panther Ridge, gives a huge thank you to Complete Property Maintenance for their plant donation! Vegetation plays an important role in curating a natural, comfortable environment for our residents. These plants will create natural enrichment incorporated into our felines’ environment as well as contribute to the beautification of our center. We are grateful for all donations and the cats can’t wait for them to be planted!

Onyx and Mateo have spent the morning bonding poolside. Jaguars are mainly solitary in nature, with the exception of mating and mothers raising their young. Under human care, companionship can be an excellent form of enrichment, allowing for socialization in their day-to-day life.
