Today was the final of three events with the Boys & Girls Club of Martin County. (Pictured here) "United Farmers Alliance and Caitlynne, with one of her volunteers providing food from their local boys and girls club gardens."

We had just finished setting up and were waiting for the parents to arrive to pick up their children.

Over the course of these three events and with the generous support of the Boys & Girls Club of Martin County, we were able to help support 60 families with local farm fresh food.

Thank you, Boys & Girls Club of Martin County, for allowing us to help you help others! And a special thanks to Caitlynne, who not only manages their gardens but also coordinated these events! We look forward to working together again soon. 🌱

Join us October 13th from 5-7pm at the Bill & Barbara Whitman Club,

October 27th from 5-7pm at the John & Marge Bolton Club,

and October 28th from 5-7pm at the Cole Clark Club.

Project progress update!

United Farmers Alliance has officially broken ground on our Geothermal Greenhouse and Learning Center.

The foundation is cleared and we are ready to install the geothermal air exchange system.
This unique system will be the first of its kind and will help to pioneer and prototype innovative and sustainable farming technologies in South Florida as well as the farming community at large.

We are working hard to bring this vision to life thanks to the support of our donors and affiliates.

Big shoutout to United Way of Palm Beach County () for their support on this exciting project!

UFA is excited to serve the community with this innovative new facility.

United Farmers Alliance has broken ground on our Geothermal Greenhouse and Learning Center as a proof of concept.

Why build a Geothermal Greenhouse? Some of the reasons include:

– An increase in food yields for Florida farmers and an extension of the growing season to be year-round.

– This facility will serve as a training center for farmers to obtain the knowledge they need to extend their growing season and to create new growing facilities.

– The facility will be open to the public for events and will have farmers, educators, and industry professionals participate in the presentation of material.

– Community outreach through K-12 educational field trips and other hands-on community events.

– Climate-controlled farming, which reduces transportation costs, greenhouse gases, and reduces water use.
