We had a great time at ButterflyWorld last Friday!! Our session on growth and reflection has taught our youngest about the life cycle of butterflies and other insects. We witnessed first hand the metamorphosis from caterpillars we collected in our garden. We honored our loved ones during their release. and we felt the magic of nature's beauty first hand in this beautiful space!!

Now we're looking at ourselves and our own metamorphosis was we look back and reflect on all the growth and changes we've experienced this past school year!

Today was dress rehearsal for our upcoming performance of Julius Caesar!

One of the things we’ve been discussing in class is the idea that our school is a safe place to do scary things.
Because growth rarely happens inside our comfort zones.
For some students, that “scary thing” is standing in front of an audience and speaking loudly and clearly. For others, it’s memorizing lines,
or performing emotionally.

Projects like this build so much more than theater skills.
They strengthen memory, communication, public speaking, teamwork, creativity, and confidence. They give students the opportunity to take risks in an environment where they feel supported while doing it.
But most importantly, they bring learning to life.
Instead of simply reading about Roman history and Shakespeare, students are stepping inside it—experiencing the story through performance, set design, discussion, and collaboration.

June 12th our performers will take the stage having conquered their fears and gaining confidence in the process!

Happy Tasty Tuesday! Today we had Chef Robert back again with the most delicious donuts 🍩 Chirpy's Custardy and Chocolatey Dip a Doo Donuts were a success!

Not only did they learn how to make these delicious donuts, but they also learned about the science and differences between gluten and gluten-free baked goods.

💡Did you know?… The word gluten comes directly from the Latin word for "glue". Early scientists and bakers in the 16th century observed that when wheat flour was mixed with water, it formed a sticky, elastic, and adhesive mass. Because it bound ingredients together just like glue, they adopted the Latin name.💡

Mission Space was a success at Conscious Kids Association! This session we explored space and the Artemis 2 mission. We learned not just about our solar system, but also about what humanity can achieve with vision and effort.
To wrap up the session, we went to Kennedy Space Center to be in the midst of where it all happens!!

The excitement the children felt was contagious. The awe it inspired was humbling, and the fact that we got to create these memories together is what makes CKA so special.
We're more than a school. We're a family!
