Brookside Senior Living Community

Brookside Senior Living Community Adirondack Mennonite Retirement Community, also known as Brookside, is a retirement home for independent seniors. AMRC is a not-for-profit corporation.

At Brookside, we view aging as a process that begins at birth. The retirement years represent a period of life marked by unique challenges and opportunities. We believe that healthy aging involves meaningful activity and relationships. The Board of Directors and employees of Brookside are committed to providing high-quality housing and services designed to meet the ever-changing needs of a diverse

population of senior adults. We strive to promote independence and a sense of security and well-being through a wide range of supportive services. Brookside subscribes to a model for service delivery and programming which emphasizes personalized services tailored to individual preferences. Our service delivery focuses on the individual as a whole person-not just a physical body, but a whole creation, made by God, with unique social, spiritual, physical, intellectual and environmental needs, experiences and desires. We will not take over or control the lives of those who make Brookside their home. We believe our role is to "assist with" rather than "do for". Our employees are committed to you as an individual and will provide prompt, courteous service. We view relationships as a sacred trust and will strive to preserve that trust in everything we do.

We all appreciate the kindness and support that has been shown these past few days. There have been several people calling and checking in to make sure things are ok at Brookside. Thank you. Brookside did not experience the flooding and damages that many others in Lowville and surrounding areas did. We are praying for everyone! Lewis County is a special place to live! This has especially been proven over the past few days.
