A MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF OF POLICE

Lowell Citizens,

It has come to my attention that several city council members have called a special meeting to amend the City Council rules.

It is my understanding that this is a hasty attempt to move forward with selling the new Lowell Police Department and City Hall buildings. Declaring these city-owned buildings as surplus through council action would be unprecedented in Lowell. City staff and an independent review board have determined these facilities are what our community needs both now and as Lowell continues to grow.

There have been rumors that these new buildings will “bankrupt the city.” Based on the information available to me, those claims are simply not true.

I encourage everyone to attend this meeting, stay informed, and make your voice heard as decisions are made that will impact the future of our community.

If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am committed to listening, providing information, and serving the citizens of Lowell.

Tim Kuth
Chief of Police
Lowell Police Department

Committed to Our Community. Dedicated to Your Safety.

Tim Kuth
Jefe de Policía
Departamento de Policía de Lowell

Comprometidos con Nuestra Comunidad. Dedicados a Su Seguridad.

Thanks to our community for making this much needed change get started!

🚔 A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Community Leaders and Citizens 🚔

The Lowell Police Department would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Mayor Chris Moore, the Lowell City Council, and the citizens of Lowell for their continued support and investment in public safety.

Thanks to your support, we have taken a significant step forward in securing a building that will become the future home of the Lowell Police Department. This much-needed facility will provide our officers and staff with the space, resources, and infrastructure necessary to better serve our growing community for years to come.

Over the next several weeks, department personnel will begin transitioning into the new facility, marking an exciting new chapter for both the Lowell Police Department and the community we proudly serve.

This project represents more than just a building—it reflects a shared commitment to the safety, security, and well-being of the residents of Lowell. We are grateful for the trust placed in us and for the strong partnership between our department, city leadership, and community members.

As we begin this transition, we ask for your patience and understanding. We will continue to keep the public informed throughout the process and will provide updates once the move is complete to ensure there is no confusion about where to go for police services.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us build a stronger future for Lowell.
