I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a leader for Project Keyhole. My name is Miranda Tase I am a 43 year old woman. I have seen addiction from all sides. I myself was an addict and celebrated 22 years sober in October. I grew up in an environment where many of the people around me and my care givers struggled with addiction. I have experienced both abuse and neglect. I have lost friends, family, a fiance, and a husband to overdoses. I have had family and friends be incarcerated because of addiction. I have myself experienced poverty and homelessness. In the last 20 years I have had the opportunity to lead and attend recovery groups, helping people in one on one counseling, helping to enable people get the assistance they need so their needs are met. My hope is that I can show others ways to face the things they have done in addiction, help them find the reason why addiction has become a part of their life and teach them tools to help them become free from addiction and save their own lives. I know that my freedom from addiction only happened because of my Savior Jesus Christ. There is no doubt in my mind, heart or soul about that. But because of my belief in Jesus it is not my place to judge anyone and certainly no one attending these meetings would ever be excluded or degraded for any reason. My hope is that by showing you my own actions, and sharing my own stories of how Jesus has saved me and inviting you to connect with Jesus in your own way, you will build a relationship with Him yourself. However there are no requirements to attend this recovery group. I welcome any and everyone. I will be teaching about valuable tools that can lead you to a life of recovery. I believe recovery is a process and it takes a combination of things to help you experience change. If you attend and would like to discuss anything with me even if it's a disagreement, I am absolutely open to doing so in a mutually respectful conversation. We are meeting at the Garden Foundation in Lowell, MI Mondays at 7pm . I hope to see you there. Have a safe and Happy New Year.
