I’ve been thinking a lot about how to share this one because the Communications Director role has meant so much to me but I need to take a moment to regroup and that means stepping away this season.❤️⚾
I’m incredibly proud of what we've been able to build in this league and in this role but I need take a moment to regroup- and I promise you this was not an easy decision. My heart is all about baseball and these kids. My goal has always been pretty simple: keep our families informed, bring some fun and excitement to the league, plan ahead instead of always reacting, and most importantly, keep the focus on the kids.
So now I’m hoping someone will raise their hand and make this role their own.
If you’re organized, creative, enjoy connecting with people, and are someone who thinks, “Families are going to need to know about this—let’s get ahead of it,” this may be a really great fit for you. You don’t have to come in knowing SportsEngine or exactly how everything works. I’m not disappearing, and I’m absolutely willing to help guide the next person, share what I’ve learned, and make the transition as easy as possible.
There is so much room to continue growing this position and bringing your own ideas to it. It really is a meaningful way to make a difference without ever having to step onto the field.
