Sao Joao Feast 6/26 - 6/28 Fundraiser Event - All three days of the São João Feast there will be traditional Portuguese food, drinks, fried dough, entertainment, and much, much more.

Just a friendly reminder for the girls running for the 2014 Queen of Sao Joao Portuguese American Lowell Youth Center, Sao Joao we will be having our first practice tomorrow night.

Portuguese American Lowell Youth Center, Sao Joao is looking for girls to run in our Queens pageant this year. If you are 14-21 years old and of Portuguese heritage you can run to be the 2014 Sao Joao Queen. We also are looking for kids to dance in the Queens Ball Show there are two groups 3-6 & 6 -13 years of age. We will be holding a parent information meeting on Sunday 2/9 at 3 PM.
São João está à procura de meninas para correr em nosso concurso de Rainhas de 2014.. Se você é de 14-21 anos de idade e do património Português você pode correr para Rainha de São João 2014. Estamos também à procura de crianças para dançar - dois grupos de 3 a 6, e de 6 a 13 anos de idade. Vamos realizar uma reunião de informação dos pais, no domingo as 2/9 3:00 horas da tarde

Movie will be Halloween themed and begins at 7 pm. Food will be available for a small donation from 6 pm to 6:45 pm. Children are welcome to come in costume.

A number of Portuguese Americans have been prominent in contributing to the development of American culture and society. Benjamin Cardoza, the Supreme Court Justice (1932-1938), John Dos Passos (1896-1970), the author of the famous USA trilogy and other works on American society, and John Phillip Sousa (1854-1932), the composer of many of America’s best-loved marching songs, were men of Portuguese heritage who played important roles in the history of the United States. -

What can today's Portuguese American Youth, achieve tomorrow?

The sky is the limit!! The Portuguese American Lowell Youth Center (PALYC) needs the communities support to preserve and promote the Portuguese heritage, background and culture.
