Thank you ~ Thank You ~ Thank You ~ Thank You

To all our fans, family, friends, followers, sponsors, supporters and especially our volunteers. It breaks my heart to say there will not be a Lisa's 11th Lung Cancer Awareness 5KRun / 3KWalk this year. This decision comes after months of careful consideration and discussion.

People come and go so much these days, that real and true friendships have become rare. Over the past 10 years I have been so fortunate to meet so many new people and have made some wonderful friendships through Lisa's event, that will last a life time.

Together these friendships have made Lisa's Lung Cancer Awareness 5K Run / 3K Walk such a success year after year for 10 great years. Together we were successful in organizing such a family friendly event, that benefiting different Lung Cancer organizations, sponsored different Cancer Charities and helped families in need. Together we have donated over $150,000.

But most importantly we honored Lisa

Thank You does not seem like enough for everything everybody has done over the years. They say a job well done is its own reward. But I want to let all of you know how much your hard work has meant to me over the years. Your kindness was very much appreciated and your help year after year has made all the difference with this event.

The generosity and support that all of you have given me seemed to come so naturally and it is a true reflection of what wonderful people all of you are. Together we can be proud of the accomplishments and difference we have made with Lisa's Lung Cancer Awareness 5K Run / 3K Walk.

Please keep following although there is no event this year stay tune there will be something new and different next year. I hope that I will see all of you at the next Lisa's Lung Cancer Awareness event.

As a non-smoker, I never imagined I would be diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer, let alone at age 50. But that’s what happened on Aug. 5, 2015, just six weeks after I started experiencing a non-productive cough.

It is with deep sadness that Lisa's Lung Cancer Awareness family has to say rest in peace to Carol Clohesy & Paul Desmarias whom were both taken from us in October.

They have been great supporters from day one of Lisa's Run / Walk. As they walked with their own family's in memory of Carol's husband and Paul's brother-in-law Bob Clohesy.

Our family will keep you both in our hearts and thoughts as you now join Lisa, Bob and Pat.in watching over us. You will both be missed.
