"My name is Dee Drolet and I am the Community Support Manager at the Lowell Transitional Living Center, where I oversee a housing program across four sites, serving more than 35 individuals who face barriers to accessing traditional housing. I am known for meeting each person with dignity, respect, and integrity.
With nearly a decade in human services, my work is deeply personal. Having grown up in the foster care system before being adopted, I understand living with uncertainty and questioning whether anyone will truly show up. That experience shaped my path and my early commitment to be for others the person I needed when I was younger. As a young adult, I stepped away from college one semester before graduating after my father’s unexpected passing, an experience I see not as an ending, but as unfinished business I plan to complete.
I began my career working with youth who had experienced trauma from abuse, neglect, and abandonment. I saw myself in many of them and helped them see that difficult beginnings do not define their future. That work led me into housing, where I now support adults experiencing homelessness and individuals with disabilities. In addition to my role at LTLC, I hold two other positions in this field, including serving as Residential Program Manager at Project Kompass, where I oversee programming for young women building their futures.
Outside of work, I demonstrate resilience and discipline as a tackle football player. I was a member of the Boston Renegades and the 2024 USA World Champion Heavy Hitters team and currently play for the New England Rebellion.
Whether on the field or in my work, I show up on the hard days, the long days, and the days when consistency matters most. I live by the belief that one steady presence can make all the difference."
