We had a great time at our St. Patrick's Day party last night! From LRC with skittles, to fruit loop stacking, rainbow fruit skewers. And oreo face races we had a blast! Even our Den Chiefs have been getting in on the fun, the boys love when they join!

We've been busy indoors lately waiting for the weather to break! Playing games, learning about static electricity, drawing and more, it has been fun, but we're ready to get back to hiking, fishing, learning outdoor skills and more!

Last night we were lucky enough to have Sensei Milton and one of his students from Milton Bushido-Ryu Karate-do come and do a demonstration with our Pack!

He led the boys through some warm-ups, kicks, hand blocks, and basic self-defense moves.

He also taught us about situational awareness and how to defend yourself, or someone else, with honor if the situation ever arises.

The core virtues of his dojo align very closely to the Cub Scout Oath and Law which made this a natural community partnership.

Yesterday was the Annual Pinewood Derby for Pack 3188 and it sure was a great time! Families traveled near and far to support the scouts and their hard work, it was a packed house! Votes were cast, races were had, donuts were eaten, many laughs were had, and awards were given out!

We even had an open category where some of the adults and siblings of those in the pack got a little competitive!

A huge thank you to all of our scouts, parent and adult volunteers, Den Chiefs, and family members who came out to support, we couldn't do all of this without all of you!

An MVP size thank you to a former parent and leader in Pack 3188, Gerrid, for volunteering to come in and run the logistics of the derby for us-your time and expertise are unmatched and greatly appreciated!

Considering last year we joined another pack's Pinewood Derby with our five scouts to this year, having over 20 of our own scouts and 60 people in the building, it's easy to say Pack 3188 is a great place to be! If you're looking for something to do with your kiddos in grades K-5, come check us out! 🦁🐅🐺🐻🌽↗️🏁🏎

It feels great to be back at it! Tonight was our first meeting of 2026 and we made sure to enjoy every minute!

Our dens did a little bit of everything from dinosaur digs to pickleball (the Bear Strong adventure) to the importance of exercising (the Faster Stronger adventure).

Our focus for the next week is "keeping ourselves physically strong and mentally awake!"

Tonight we had the Annual Pack Christmas/Holiday Party! It was a night filled with pj's, sweaters and flannel, board games, cookie baking, decorating, and eating, and a present exchange! Some of our Scouts made their presents for the exchange, we have some really talented kids! 🎄🎁🍪🎅

As always, many helpful hands and smiles from the adults as well!

Pinewood Derby car kits were handed out in preparation for the upcoming Annual Pinewood Derby Race!

Last night was the Santa Parade in Lowell and the boys did great! We dressed up as the "Presents of Scouting" - each Scout picked their favorite value of Scouting and put it on their box. We even got a visit from the Big Guy himself and some hot cocoa and snacks at the end!

Last night at our Pack Meeting we focused on Thanksgiving! From capturing what we're grateful for while playing Pin the Tail on the Turkey, to making a turkey out of popcorn and cereal, to a "Stuff the Turkey" game, we sure had fun! We also had three Den Chiefs from BSA Troop 102 join us to help out!

Have we mentioned we've grown!? Starting next month our Den meetings are moving to a new time and bigger location! If you have a potential Scout and want to check us out sometime, send a message and we'll let you know when and where! Pack Meetings and Den Meetings will be held in different locations so it's best to message for confirmation!

Tonight, the Pack split up to divide and conquer! Part of our group went to set-up for Christmas Through Lowell at Christmas Around the Corner while the the other group did an outdoor clean-up and made signs for our local charter organization, the VFW. We are very grateful for our veterans and all they have given for us!

Don't forget to come see us this weekend at Stop #6 for a cup of hot cocoa!
