Today, July 6, 2020, the MASSACHUSETTS EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS WORKPLACE SAFETY and REOPENING STANDARDS FOR BUSINESSES and OTHER ENTITIES PROVIDING YOUTH and ADULT AMATEUR SPORTS ACTIVITIES, released the Phase III, Step 1 guidelines (see attached).

The state of Massachusetts has determined that basketball is a high risk activity that will be allowed to participate in level 1 type of play (Individual or socially distanced group activities - no-contact workouts, aerobic conditioning, individual skill work, and drills). Competition for basketball will not be allowed in Phase III per the state of Massachusetts. This decision has been made and is out of our hands, therefore, with heavy hearts the SJA Summer Basketball Board of Directors must cancel the 27th season of summer basketball at Fr. Maguire Courts.

The league treasurer will be working on refunding the registration fee over the next few days.

The SJA Summer Basketball League Board of Directors appreciates the support and patience of the players, parents, and coaches during this difficult process and unprecedented time. We continue to pray that you all stay safe and be well and look forward to next summer's basketball season.

Happy 4th of July!

IMPORTANT NOTICE 4/22/2020
The EAA Board of Directors prays that you are safe and well during this unprecedented time. Together, we pray for those suffering from the coronavirus, those caring for the ill, those experiencing anxiety, all who bravely serve to assist and protect our loved ones, and the resolutely committed teaching community.

Spring registration is closed and all spring sport programs cancelled, as a result of current circumstances and the recent announcement by Massachusetts Governor Baker of the closing of school buildings for the remainder of the year.

The EAA Board of Directors prays for all faculty, staff, students and families of the member schools of the Ecumenical Athletic Association as we all creatively and compassionately work together to carry out our mission to serve and lead in these challenging times and look forward to meeting again in the fall.
