“One generation shall commend your works to another and shall declare your mighty acts.”
– Psalm 145:4
Our responsibility and privilege at Faith Legacy Inc. is to commend God’s works to the next generation. To not just tell them what God has done, but tell them with zeal about what God has done, to boast in what God has done, to commend what God has done to them. To declare his mighty acts to them, to tell them how awesome God is. And not just moms and dads and grand-moms and granddads, but all of us, to look at the next generation, to just look at generation or two generations, or even three generations for some, behind you and think, how can I commend God’s works and His faithfulness to them?
Like Joshua and Timothy in the Bible, Faith Legacy by the Grace of God and partnership with various families will help them to be impactful in their generation, through mentorship and various education programs that will keep our kids off the street.
Through studying the life of Timothy, we will discover God has given us a model of how to pass on our faith to our children.
We cannot assume past faithfulness will continue or that future generations will be aware of the great historical legacy available to them. The passing on of our faith must continue to be refreshed with each generation.
Let’s not wait till the next generation becomes “prodigal” children.
