Happy 1st Day of School everyone!

Lots of excitement & a few tears - it gets better with each new school day, parents. ❤️ So fun seeing all the little faces ready to learn & make new friends!

The PTO fueled the teachers up for the new school year with drinks & yogurt parfaits to start the week!

We had so much fun seeing old and NEW faces last night at Meet the Teacher!

Thank you to Kent District Library, The YMCA & the Girl Scouts for sharing more about what they do & the many fun opportunities they provide for your kiddos. And to TNW Hotdogs for serving up food!

BIG THANKS to everyone that took the time to stop by our table!

We can’t wait to see so many little Bushnell Bears this evening at Meet The Teacher! 4:30-6pm

Get in the Back to School spirit with a photo op of your kiddos in front of the cute pencil backdrop ✏️🍎

TNW Hot Dogs will be serving up food (4-7pm) 🌭Grab a bite, hang out on the playground, and enjoy a fun start to the new school year with friends!

AND please don’t forget to stop by our table & say hi! We’d love to share more about about what we do 🙂

📣 Meeting Time Update! 📣

We’re making a slight change to our evening PTO meeting on Tuesday, August 11th! To help accommodate families attending the cheer parent meeting, we’re moving the evening meeting up to 5:00 PM. We’re hoping this makes it easier for more parents to join us!

Meeting Options:
📍 10:00–11:00 AM – Creekside Park (Large Pavilion)
📍 5:00–6:00 PM – Bushnell Elementary Playground

If you’re unable to attend either of these meetings, we’d love to see you at our first PTO meeting of the school year on September 11th at 9:00 AM at Bushnell.

We hope to see you there!

As we get ready for another amazing school year, we’d love for you to join us! Whether you’re a returning PTO member or interested in getting involved for the first time, everyone is welcome.

📍 Bushnell Elementary Playground

Choose the time that works best for you! Come meet other parents, hear what’s planned for the school year, and learn how you can help make a difference for our students and staff.
We welcome younger siblings who love to help and need to tag along!

We hope each and every one of you is having a fantastic summer! It’s hard to believe we’re only about a month away from the start of another school year.

With that in mind, we have an important announcement: Meet the Teacher Night has been moved to Wednesday, August 19!

We’ll also have a hot dog food truck and an ice cream truck if you’re wanting to grab dinner before or after 🌭🍦

We’ll share menus, times, and additional event details as we get closer to the date. We can’t wait to see everyone there!

Are you cleaning out your kids’ closets this summer?

Before you toss out those outgrown tennis shoes, consider donating them at Meet the Teacher Night August 20th.

These shoes will be available for students who may not have proper footwear for gym class.
