As we navigate Su***de Awareness Month, tomorrow brings a deeply personal milestone for the 1441 Foundation family—the angelversary of our beloved Dayton.

Our mission is rooted in ensuring no one walks through the darkness alone. That is why we are so moved by Bob Hornickel and Rob Johnson. These two men are leading by example, vulnerably sharing their stories to help heal others.

September is Su***de Prevention Month. The 1441 Foundation is reaffirming our commitment to ending the stigma surrounding mental health in the military community.
Five years ago on Sept 16, we lost Dayton. Since then, his athletic numbers—14 and 41—have stood as our banner to fight the war against veteran su***de. We want every veteran to know that they are loved, they are valued, and their struggle does not have to be faced in isolation.
Look closely at the 12 Su***de Warning Signs and the 5 Steps to Help Someone at Risk in this image. A simple conversation or checking in on a "battle buddy" can completely change the trajectory of a life.

What an incredible day at the 107th Annual Lowell Labor Day Parade! The weather was absolutely beautiful, and we were so blessed to be surrounded by an amazing turnout of walkers—including some wonderful four-legged friends! We had a blast passing out t-shirts and ducks to everyone along the route.

A huge thank you to everyone who walked with us and showed their support today. We also want to give a massive shoutout to our incredible volunteers who have been working hard at the Labor Day Festival since Saturday running our dunk tank to raise money. We truly could not do any of this without your endless support, time and help. Thank you, Lowell community, for making this weekend unforgettable!
