🐾🌎 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY! 🌎🐾

And what better way to celebrate than by giving THREE amazing dogs a second chance at life! ❤️🐶

Today, Nelson SPCA/Almost Home Pet Adoption Center pulled three dogs from Code Red and brought them safely into our care. 🥹❤️ Thankfully Nelson Animal Control did not need our help! This shows so much growth in animal welfare within our beautiful county.

Please welcome Taco 🌮, Blondie 💛 & Marlie 🐾!

These three are going to take a short time to decompress, get to know us and us them, and show their personalities. Once we know them better, they'll be available for adoption!

This week we also took in Cole and Scar two of five owner surrenders. Cole and Scar's three siblings have been adopted. We know you will love these two!

Their story didn't end today… it got a second chance. ❤️

Another group of wonderful animals has found their forever homes, and we couldn’t be happier! 🎉

Please join us in celebrating the adoptions of Valerie & Mocha, Theodosia & Tucker, Spider, Pixie, Persephone, Milo (the cat), Milo (the dog), Meave, Lulu, Ellie & Natalie, Chief, and Beanie! 🏡🐶🐱

Each one of these animals had their own story, personality, and journey to adoption—and now they get to begin their next chapter surrounded by love. We are so grateful to the families who opened their hearts and homes to them. ❤️

Introducing one of the gentlest, sweetest cats, Esther Snow. Her part-time job is to keep the staff company in the office in the morning. But she's looking for a full-time job as a loving companion for life.

Who do you think has the best ears? Here’s the line-up. 1) Weevil, the adorable tufty-eared male kitten. 2) Kratos, another orange boy with a solid build and a tender heart; or 3) Sheba, a majestic, loving, long-haired black boy who is always up for a game.

Echo is the ultimate green-eyed lady. Recently, she had some health issues, and we ran her through a gamut of tests. The vet found nothing physically wrong and diagnosed the two-year-old with depression. That’s not surprising given she has been with us for four months, quietly waiting for someone to fall in love with her.

So, we moved her to a room of her own, the ultimate upgrade at the rescue. (We do whatever we can to keep our animals happy.) Now she sits and purrs all day. Turn up the volume and listen to what she has to say. She’s trying to tell you she’s a loving girl who is ready to find her forever home. Could it be yours?
