First Love International Ministries

First Love International Ministries Compassionately surrounding the most vulnerable with wholistic, Jesus-saturated love. We want them to know the Gospel as we care for their physical needs.

First Love International Ministries is a non-denominational 501(c)(3) mission organization founded in the year 2001. Our mission is to connect believers together around the world in order to tangibly surround the most vulnerable with wholistic, Jesus-saturated love. First Love International works in a dozen countries serving the most vulnerable. We come alongside those that societies and cultures

have chosen to abuse, traumatize or marginalize. Abandoned children, widows, people with disabilities, trafficked people are some of the groups that we focus on. Ministries are born and more people are impacted when the marginalized are cared for in the name of Jesus. A word from our Founder, Dr. Tom Clinton

"At First Love we seek to "flesh" out the passion of Christ before a lost and dying world. In our ministries we have deliberately chosen to major on those who the world might consider to be minors. And in that regard... our priority is to invest our greatest resources and energies on the least, because we recognize that whenever we reach out to the least of these we do it for Jesus."

Saturday morning we celebrated the graduation of 6 ladies from the Baraka Women’s Center sewing program. The ladies started 6 months ago hand stitching their pin cushion and have advanced to making complicated items like shorts and button down shirts on a sewing machine. Each graduate received a sewing machine, sewing equipment and materials to start their own businesses.

The Kenya team dedicated the new dining hall with the kids Tuesday. The staff from North Coast Beach Hotel came to celebrate with us, and brought a cake. It’s amazing to see all that was accomplished this week. The roof was put on and the dining hall was painted. Kids clubs were held last week, and Monday and Tuesday were game days with the kids. A new swing set and 2 soccer goals were built and installed. 30 benches were built and a rain/shade shelter was added to a village church. Parts for 40 tables were cut and finished for the Kenyan staff to assemble. Privacy curtains were installed in 31 dorm rooms at Sahajanand Special School where 1500 disabled children attend. The team was able to be a blessing to hundreds of children and the staff at both schools, local churches, villages, and the staff at the hotel.

The Kenya team had another very busy day at First Love Academy. The ladies and Tony held 4 kids clubs and a taught the staff about good health practices that they can teach the children. The final purlins were placed on the roof and the first sheets of steel are up. The inside and front on the building received the first coat of paint. Construction of the benches for the local church continued, and the cutting, routering, and sanding of 40 tables began. Installation of the new swing set also started. At the end of the day on Fridays the children hold a ceremony for lowering the flag which we were privileged to observe.

The Kenya team made a lot of progress on the roof Thursday. The purlins are done on the back and steel sheets are on over the kitchen area. The overhang area in the front was built and the facia board is up. The ladies also held 4 more kids clubs, but John and I were busy building benches for a village church and I never had time to take any more photos. I will take more photos tomorrow 😁
