About WCNI

The Weimaraner Club of Northern Illinois (WCNI) is affiliated with the Weimaraner Club of America (WCA) and has been in existence since 1960. WCNI members include people who work with their dogs in areas of competition, or simply enjoy their Weimaraner as a family pet, or both. The club offers a variety of AKC and WCA events throughout the year. Club sponsored AKC events include confor

mation specialty shows, agility trials, tracking tests, hunt tests, and field trials. WCA ratings tests for field ability are also part of the yearly calendar. These tests and shows provide an opportunity for owners to compete, share their interest in the breed as well as assist and learn about the events. The club offers a wealth of information via newsletters, guest speakers at meetings, along with fun days where you can train your dog and enjoy the company of fellow Weim lovers. The WCNI welcomes members from Illinois and its surrounding areas. Events and meetings are held at various locations giving everyone an opportunity to participate. What a fantastic weekend at our Specialty Shows during the Waukesha Summer Splash Cluster!

Over the course of three days, we hosted four shows and were thrilled to see some beautiful Weimaraners in attendance.

Thank you to all of the exhibitors who joined us, as well as everyone who came to watch and support the shows. A huge thank you also goes out to the club members whose hard work made the weekend possible, and to our judges for generously sharing their time and expertise.

Congratulations to all of the winners! We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!

What a fantastic agility trial this past weekend! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped the weekend run so smoothly, as well as our judge, Christine Bishop, for the great courses all weekend. A big thank you to everyone who entered the trial, and congratulations to everyone who titled! It was great to see so many Weimaraners come out and run!
