What if...
What if.
What if we eliminated all the bu****it. The drama, the rumors, throwing people under the bus, putting others down that don’t have the knowledge to complete a task, talking bad about the fat guy in the recliner. The negatives that we choose to continue to do.
What if we created an environment where people wanted to be. Where people were focused on the success as a company or a shift rather than our own career. What if we included the guy in the recliner for our next workout. What if we got out in the bay and worked on the skills to complete that task. What if we checked on how our people were doing mentally. What if we didn’t talk about each other and started talking with each other. What if we lent people a hand to get them from under the bus.
Imagine a department like that. Focused on bettering each individual that wanted to better themselves. Helping one another to fulfill their full potential for this job. The truth is, this can be done. It’s up to you to dictate what direction your crew, shift, and department heads toward.
