🎉 A WIN FOR POLIO ERADICATION! 🎉
Illinois officially recognizes October 24, 2026, as World Polio Day!
We’re proud to share this important recognition from the State of Illinois, where Governor J.B. Pritzker has officially proclaimed October 24, 2026, World Polio Day.
This proclamation recognizes Rotary’s decades-long commitment to the global fight to eradicate polio and calls attention to the importance of continued awareness, advocacy and immunization efforts.
A special thank you to Past Rotary International Director Bob Stuart of Springfield, whose efforts helped make this statewide recognition possible.
As Rotarians across Region 36 — Zones 25 & 29 prepare to recognize World Polio Day on October 24, this proclamation is a wonderful reminder of the impact we can make when we use our voices to advocate for a polio-free world.
🌎 Together, we can End Polio Now.
