We had a crew of 11 show up this morning to build a bridge over a washed out culvert on the Lovell Land Trust property between Heald and Bradley Ponds - left the parking lot at 8:05, we were back to our trucks just before 9:00. Another good project out of the way for the fall, and helping our friends at the land trust out is always a plus. Without their generosity and them allowing us to use parts of their trail network on several of their properties, the club would be in a tough spot. We are happy to be able to help them maintain at least a portion of their extensive trail system as a thank you for their generosity - as the saying goes, team work makes the dream work.
Please note: This bridge was built purely for foot traffic and snowmobile traffic in the winter - NO OTHER VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED! The ATVs in the pictures were there only to move materials and tools in for the build.
Stay tuned for an update for next Sunday. The tentative plan is to head to the newly re-opened Christian Hill trail and get nine water holes taken care of - we will post an update later in the week.

Happy Friday everyone! Just a quick reminder that we will be working on the bridge between Heald and Bradley Ponds on Sunday morning. We will meet at the parking lot at the north end of the Heald Pond Road - I believe it is the Flat Hill parking area on the land trust property. Only hand tools and needed this Sunday - bring a shovel and an impact driver. We will meet right at the parking lot at the end of Heald Pond road - NOT at the fire station like we normally would - at 8 am. Hope to see you there!

Hey everyone. Just a reminder that the October monthly meeting of the Kezar Trailbreakers Snowmobile Club is happening this Thursday October 15th at 7pm at the Lovell Town Hall just prior to the Sabattus Road. Our trail crew got a good stretch of trail brushed on Sunday but there's plenty more work to get done. Come join us on Thursday as we figure out what project we are headed to this coming Sunday morning. Bring a friend and we hope to see you there!

Good evening everyone. Sunday October 11 at 8 am we are meeting at the Center Lovell fire station for another trail work day. We will be working on the trail around the west side of Heald Pond so ATVs, a couple chainsaws, and most importantly loppers will be on the list of tools to bring for the day. Tell your friends. Below are some pictures of one of the projects the crew got done last Sunday. They straightened out the approach to the crossing on Sabattus Road - no long diagonal trip across the pavement this winter headed to or from the Kezar River Valley. They also removed a stump on the re-opened Christian Hill trail to make grooming a little easier. We will be revisiting that trail later in the fall to address some water crossings, but that's a little further down the road.

Hey everyone - a bit late to the party, but, weather permitting, we will meet at 8 am tomorrow at the Center Lovell station for a short work morning of work. If you wake up and it’s raining, roll over and go back to sleep. No ATVs necessary - just bring a saw and some clippers. Again, if it’s raining, we’ll see you next time!!
