The Care Center We help people remove the barriers and build the resources needed to thrive in life!

We exist to provide care for the whole person with a network of support and resources in order to promote personal advancement, spiritual growth, and overall stability. We offer community, assistance, practical resources and encouragement to help support individuals and families in need, regardless of where you live. Services include, but aren’t limited to, personal hygiene, paper good and cleaning supply assistance, SPARK life skills workshops and coaching, recovery support, financial counseling, prayer and helpful information about local community services. It’s our goal to provide a friendly and welcoming space as we treat people with dignity and respect. You can expect to be greeted with lots of smiles, enjoy a meal together, and build relationships with people who care about you.

Thanks so much to the team at Christian Brothers Automotive for providing 74 oil changes for Care Center members! That’s 74 people who can keep getting to work, classes, and appointments without worrying about what their car might need next.

For alot of families, one unexpected repair can throw off a whole month. Keeping a car running well is one of the practical ways to protect someone’s stability.

We’re grateful for partners who show up for our community in such a real way!

Most people looking for work aren't short on motivation. What's usually missing is a reliable ride, a résumé that tells their story, or someone in their corner.

That's what our Thrive at Work team focuses on. When those pieces come together, people don't just land a job. They show up consistently, keep it, and start building the kind of stability that lets a family plan ahead instead of just getting by.

There really aren't two groups of people: those who have something to give, and those who need something. At different points in our lives, most of us are both.

One thing I've learned in this work is how easy it is to define someone by what they need.

Someone needs help finding a job.
Someone needs reliable transportation.
Someone needs help stretching a paycheck.
Someone needs personal care or household essentials.

Those needs are real. But they're never the whole story.

The person sitting across from us also brings experience, ability, resilience and strength. They may be a great parent, a dependable coworker, the one their family calls when something goes wrong, or someone who knows exactly what it feels like to keep going through a hard season.

They have something to contribute.

That's why one of the most meaningful signs of thriving isn't simply needing less help. It's having the chance to use your strengths, make choices about your future, help someone else, and know you have something of value to offer.

We even get to watch that come full circle at Care Center. Someone who first connected with us because they needed support later finds themselves encouraging someone else, or giving back what they learned.

From everyone at The Care Center, THANK YOU. We are completely blown away that in less than a week, we’ll have a room full of 200+ people celebrating the impact of The Care Center, the work our members have put in, and YOU for helping make all of this possible.

If you’re attending, please keep an eye on your inbox over the next week. We’ll be sending important information about parking and event details before Thursday.

And one quick heads up: our mailed invitations apparently decided to take the scenic route and may not arrive until this week or next. 😅 Unfortunately, Ignite Hope is officially sold out, but if you weren’t able to get a ticket, we’ll be sharing more from the night afterward and there will still be an opportunity to support the work if you’d like to.

So far this year, Care Center members have spent 950 hours in practical life-skills workshops, learning things they can use at work, at home, and with their families.

That's time spent learning how to manage money, prepare meals for a family, use everyday technology, take care of a car, strengthen parenting skills, and more.

These may sound like everyday skills. But when you're working toward greater stability, knowing how to manage a paycheck, use Excel for a new job, or cook a healthy meal at home can make a real difference.

This is just one piece of what we'll be celebrating at Ignite Hope on September 17th. Come hear from Care Center members, celebrate their progress, and see what your support helps make possible in our Cincinnati community!

Nobody wakes up one day and just decides to have hope. It's built.

For someone who has faced setback after setback, believing things can change is hard. So when we talk about hope at Care Center, we're not talking about a feeling someone can just choose. It grows through small proof that progress is possible.

Finishing a class. Getting called back for an interview. Making a budget that actually works. Learning something new. Showing up again, even when it would've been easier not to.

None of those moments make headlines. But each one tells a person something important: maybe the next step is possible too.

That's a lot of what we get to witness at Care Center. Not just the big milestones, but the smaller ones that build the belief that a different future is within reach.

Manny first came to the Care Center because he needed a car. He had a young family to provide for and was trying to figure out what came next. Through the Care Center, that first connection led to new opportunities, from our Money Smart workshop and SPARK mentoring to exploring a career in IT.

Today, Manny is working full-time as a Junior Engineer.

His story is one of the many we’ll be celebrating at Ignite Hope on September 17th, and a reminder of what can happen when someone in our community has the right relationships, resources, and opportunities to keep moving forward in life.

Last night, Branches Church - www.BranchesChurch.us young adult community showed up to serve alongside us during our personal care and home supplies distribution, and it made a real difference.

They greeted guests at the door, filled orders for personal care and home supplies, handed out snacks, kept kids engaged and smiling, and prayed with people who wanted it. That kind of presence lets a distribution feel less like a transaction and more like what it's meant to be: neighbors caring for neighbors.

We love partnering with churches like Branches. It's not about one group doing the work for us, it's about doing it together, and having that many hands and hearts in the room made the whole night better for the families we served.

Thank you, Branches Church and your young adult community, for giving your evening to this. We're grateful for you.
