Last night, Branches Church - www.BranchesChurch.us young adult community showed up to serve alongside us during our personal care and home supplies distribution, and it made a real difference.

They greeted guests at the door, filled orders for personal care and home supplies, handed out snacks, kept kids engaged and smiling, and prayed with people who wanted it. That kind of presence lets a distribution feel less like a transaction and more like what it's meant to be: neighbors caring for neighbors.

We love partnering with churches like Branches. It's not about one group doing the work for us, it's about doing it together, and having that many hands and hearts in the room made the whole night better for the families we served.

Thank you, Branches Church and your young adult community, for giving your evening to this. We're grateful for you.

๐ŸŒ๏ธ 212 people showed up Saturday, and it's already changing lives.

That's how many participants joined The Oasis Golf Club annual Rally Day this past weekend, and we're honored Care Center was chosen as one of the beneficiaries.

Support like this doesn't just raise funds. It shows up in real ways, transportation for someone starting a new job, coaching for a parent building a resume, a workshop that helps a family plan a budget for the first time. It's the everyday work of helping people remove barriers and build the stability they're working so hard for.

Thank you to Oasis Golf Club's sponsors, volunteers, staff, and every person who teed off for a good cause. What you gave Saturday is already at work.

A broken-down car meant Courtney could lose her job. And her kids could lose their ride to school.

Courtney is a single parent who's been doing everything right, working hard, showing up every day, keeping her family moving forward. But her vehicle needed repairs she couldn't afford, and in her area, there's no bus service to fall back on. If that car gave out for good, she'd be stuck without a replacement until next year. That's not just an inconvenience. That's her job on the line. That's her kids missing school.

Through our partnership with Wheelstransinc , Courtney now has a reliable vehicle, and with it, steadier ground under her family.

This is what reliable transportation actually means for a family like Courtney's: getting to work on time, getting kids to school every day, and one less thing standing between her and the stability she's been working so hard to build.

"My plan going forward is to keep working hard to not be in this position again," Courtney told us. That kind of determination is exactly what Wheels exists to support, not to rescue people, but to remove the barriers standing between hardworking people and the future they're already working toward.

Congratulations, Courtney! We're honored to be part of this next chapter.

What's one thing that's made the biggest difference in your own journey toward stability? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Four weeks. One night a week. A plan they can actually use.

A group of people in our community just completed Money Smart, a workshop built around one idea: stability starts with a plan, not guesswork.

They practiced tracking income and expenses. Built a real credit strategy. Talked through who to pay first when things are tight. Started building emergency savings.

They didn't do it alone. Coaches worked alongside them, turning what they learned into steps they can use starting today.

Not just information. A plan, and the confidence to follow it.

Congratulations to everyone who completed Money Smart. ๐Ÿ’™

Want to build your own plan? Our next workshop is coming up. Contact Lora to sign up: 513.453.7999 or [email protected]

A job interview starts before anyone says a word. It starts the moment someone walks in the door.

That's why we're proud to host a satellite Dress for Success Cincinnati location right here at Care Center.

Professional clothing that fits and feels right can change how someone carries themselves into an interview or a first day on the job. It's one less thing to figure out, so people can focus on what's next.

Good news: donation drop-off just got easier. Bring clothing Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2-4pm, or schedule an appointment if that time doesn't work for you.

Got professional clothing you're not using? It could be exactly what someone needs to walk in ready.

We spent yesterday learning how to communicate better with everyone who's part of this work.

We joined other local nonprofits to talk about marketing and AI, tools that are changing quickly, and how to use them well.

Here's why that matters: the better we communicate, the more people find out about the help that's available to them. But it also means donors and volunteers get a clearer picture of what their time and generosity are actually accomplishing. Both matter. Neither works without the other.

We believe we can always improve how we serve people and steward this mission. That means staying curious, looking honestly at what's working and what isn't, and being willing to adjust instead of sticking with "how we've always done it."

Yesterday was a good reminder that we don't have to figure this out alone. Learning alongside other organizations doing this kind of work made all of us a little sharper.

What's one thing you've learned recently that changed how you do your work?

One thing I've learned is that growth almost never follows a straight line.

Sometimes people take two steps forward and one step back.

Life happens. A vehicle breaks down. A child gets sick. A job doesn't work out. An unexpected expense changes everything.

It's tempting to measure success only by uninterrupted progress. But I've come to believe resilience is often the better measure.

The people who keep showing up. Who ask for help instead of disappearing. Who don't quit after a setback.

They're usually building something more lasting than a quick success story.

Real transformation isn't usually perfect. It's persistent.

What's kept you going during a season when progress felt slow? I'd love to hear it in the comments.

Save the Date: Ignite Hope | September 17 ๐ŸŽ‰

This fall, we're gathering again to celebrate what's happening at Care Center, and we'd love for you to be part of it.

Ignite Hope is an evening of good food, real stories from the families we walk alongside, and a night that's part celebration, part invitation. It's a party with a purpose: this is our fall fundraising event, and every seat helps support local families as they take their own next steps toward stability.

Here's what to know for now:
๐Ÿ“… Thursday, September 17
๐Ÿ•ก 6:30โ€“8:30 PM
๐Ÿ“ Little Miami Brewing Event Center

Tickets go on sale the week of August 3. We'll share more details soon, for now, get the date on your calendar. We'd love to have you there.

80 people. Four workshops. One week.

This week alone, more than 80 people came through Care Center to take part in a life skills workshop, and each one built something that matters for the long haul.

In Money Smart, people built real confidence around budgeting. In our Nutrition Workshop, a registered dietitian helped people cut through conflicting advice and learn how to manage blood sugar, lose weight, and plan healthy meals on a real budget. In Elevate Emotionally, people practiced tools for managing stress before it spills into work, relationships, or parenting. And in Cooking for the Family, people cooked up meals that stretch a grocery budget further while still bringing people to the table.

None of these are extras. They're the foundation a lot of what comes next gets built on: steady jobs, steady homes, steady families.

Progress like this doesn't always make headlines. But it's the kind of week that changes what's possible for a family months from now.

What's one life skill you wish someone had taught you? We'd love to hear in the comments.
