Eagle Selfie! I wonder what eagles think when they see their own reflection. Notice Simon's(?) reaction when he saw himself this morning after a large white bass breakfast. Is he looking at the movement of his brothers? Does he see his fish scale earring? It's really fantastic to be able to watch this unique behavior.

We are deeply grateful for Robert's support in raising funds to preserve and restore the historic barn at our Bahr Farm! With portions built as early as 1810, it's one of Cincinnati's oldest structures and an important relic of the area's agricultural past.
Please consider visiting Robert's art exhibit (at Ethos Collective from June 5-26) where a portion of every sale will be donated to barn preservation efforts.

📷🏆Congratulations to the winners of our Spring 2026 photo contest!🏆📷

The winning submissions are a Great Horned Owl sitting in the trees at Bortz Family Nature Preserve by Dennis Batke, wildflowers and a waterfall at Kope Hollow Nature Preserve by Walt Orlowsky, and a mighty Sycamore tree at Todd’s Fork Nature Preserve by Richard Hiatt.

A special shout out to our runners up: Greg Snyder for a Trillium at Kope Hollow Nature Preserve, and Haley Dyer for a Bald Eagle at Bortz Family Nature Preserve.

Thank you to all our entrants for participating in the contest this spring - we had many amazing entries that captured the unique beauty and wildlife of Cardinal's preserves. The next seasonal contest will be announced in the coming months.
