🚆 Today at Thompson Valley Rotary, we received an exciting update on the future of Front Range Passenger Rail!

A big thank you to Jon Mallo and AnnaRose Cunningham for sharing the latest developments on this transformative transportation project. Members learned about current district activities, long-term planning efforts, and proposed station locations that could help connect communities throughout Colorado’s Front Range.

The discussion highlighted the potential for expanded mobility, economic growth, and stronger regional connections as planning continues to move forward.

Thank you, Jon and Anna Rose, for providing an informative look at what could become a major transportation asset for our region.

Last week's meeting was both enlightening and eye-opening as we welcomed Sarah Arnold from Dementia Together.

Sarah shared more about the important work Dementia Together does to support individuals and families navigating dementia, along with their SPECAL method of care. Her presentation offered meaningful insight into how compassion, understanding, and the right approach can make a real difference for those living with dementia and the people who love them.

Thank you, Sarah, for joining us and sharing such valuable information with our club.

Thompson Valley Rotary Club members were proud to take part in Rotary's - a day of action organized by Rotary Clubs worldwide.

Our group joined forces with the Loveland Rotary Club to plant cherry and plum trees in the Mahaffey Park Arboretum/Orchard. Many hands made light work, and we are grateful to the City of Loveland, Colorado - Government for being such a wonderful partner in this community project.

Service above self, in action. 💙🌳

Flashback to last Friday!
Thompson Valley Rotary was proud to support the Colorado Governor's Art Show & Sale (Governor's Art Show Gala) at the Loveland Museum , where Governor Polis joined the celebration and presented a special Governor's Legacy Award to one of the show's many talented Colorado artists.

This award recognized the central role the arts play in Colorado's past, present, and future as we celebrate Colorado's 150th and America's 250th anniversaries.

The Governor's Art Show is one of the largest fine art shows to exclusively feature Colorado artists, and proceeds help fund scholarships and local programs. The show runs through June 6 at the Loveland Museum - don't miss it!

Today’s Thompson Valley Rotary program took us on a musical trip through time to 1955 with Jim Willard of Trivially Speaking!
Jim shared a fun and informative look back at the music, memories, and moments that shaped the era. It was a great reminder that Rotary meetings are not only about service and connection, but also about learning something new together.

Join us on any Thursday over the lunch hour at the Pulliam Community Building. We meet weekly and welcome guests who want to connect, learn, and serve our community.

Thanks to all of our Valentine Heart Loving friends for another successful year of spreading the love! The following article was published in Loveland's Loveland Reporter-Herald last week. We realized that not everyone gets this paper, so here it is for your review!
"For Thompson Valley Rotary, Valentine's Day is always on our mind! We are “The Club with Heart,” and we just successfully completed our 34th year of this lovely tradition. We understand that many in our community wish the hearts could stay up even longer, we hear you and it speaks to just how beloved this tradition has become. Weather permitting, the city generally puts our hearts up the last Saturday of January and takes them down the last Saturday of February.
This program could not go forward without the help of our fellow Rotarians, Thompson Valley High School National Honor Society students, and the city of Loveland. All told, more than 400 volunteer hours were spent on this year’s program. We are also grateful to Guiry's Color Source for donating the paint.
Hearts go on sale every year at midnight on December 1st. This year, we sold 400 hearts before the sun came up. All proceeds are returned to the community through Rotary service and support for nonprofit efforts benefiting children, the environment, and other local needs. For our last fiscal year, Thompson Valley Rotary donated $45,917.

Yesterday's club meeting marked our first gathering back in the beautfiully renovated Pulliam Community Building, and it felt so good to be together again in a space that truly feels like home!

To make it extra special, we were treated to a delightful serenade from the Lyric Quartet 🎶—bringing harmony, laughter, and just the right amount of Valentine’s cheer to the room. 💖
Good news: they’re offering Valentine’s singing-grams, and anyone can order one to surprise someone special!

Grateful for fresh beginnings, meaningful connections, and a home base that brings us together. 💙💛

It's almost heart season, Loveland! 💘
All Valentine Hearts are painted and ready to go—thanks to the Thompson Valley NHS students + their leader, and to Lucas Newman for the generous barn space. The City will start hanging hearts on Jan 22. Let the love begin! ❤️
