Hello EAA Chapter 515,

Our next gathering is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6th. We will meet at Scion Helicopters' assembly shop, located at 6219 Aviation Circle, Loveland, CO (just south of the Amazon building). Please note this new location, we were here in May / July also.

Food will be served at 6:30 PM, followed by the meeting at 7:00 PM.

This month our presenter is Bill Snodgrass. He has two items to cover: One is the soon-to-be active Go Fund Me fundraiser for a Susan Wolber memorial bench. The jetCenter and the Airport have approved of a location, and he has a preliminary design completed. Second topic is Sport Pilot, Light-Sport and Part 22 MOSAIC. This went into effect in July of this year and it has some changes from the original issue. It is now possible to fly very fast aircraft with modern avionics and in some cases work on your own aircraft with either a two day or two-week mechanic class depending on your situation.

Hello EAA Chapter 515,

This month’s Tuesday September 1st meeting starts at Adam's hagar at 6:30 for food and 7:00 pm for the meeting. We have met here a few times this year. Walt Dorlac will show us his 1941 Naval Aircraft Factory N3N-3. He is just starting his annual inspection and will share some of the construction and maintenance features. It is a real beauty and will be fun to see such a piece of history.

We will gather first at 5299 Beechcraft for food, then walk over to Walt's around 7:15 PM. As this hangar is inside the security fence, members without badges should park at the corner of Cessna Dr. and Lear Dr. and enter through the east-facing pedestrian door of the first hangar.

During the meeting, we will discuss our September 12th, Young Eagles event. In order to make this happen we need more pilots! If you can fly that day please contact Brad Conrad [email protected]

This month our guest is a well respected RC remote control pilot at builder. He has designed and built several of the foam park flyers on the market and been a sponsored pilot for several airshows. He will bring several airplanes and discuss the selection of material for each build.
