Hello Chapter 515,

This month’s meeting will be held at Mach 1 Flight Training at KFNL. Founded by EAA 515 members, Mach 1 is an excellent local option for flight instruction ranging from PPL to CFII. Matt and Ethan will be joining us to provide details on their aircraft and training programs.

We will gather first at 5299 Beechcraft for pizza at 6:30 PM, then walk over to Mach 1 around 7:15 PM. As this hangar is inside the security fence, members without badges should park at the corner of Cessna Dr. and Lear Dr. and enter through the east-facing pedestrian door of the first hangar.

During the meeting, we will discuss our June Young Eagles event, which has been moved to June 28th. This change is due to the recent repaving of CSU Christman Airfield and their fly-in scheduled for June 27th. I will share further details regarding this event during our session.

Hello Chapter 515,

Our next gathering is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5th. We will meet at Scion Helicopters' assembly shop, located at 6219 Aviation Circle, Loveland, CO (just south of the Amazon building). Please note this new location.

Food will be served at 6:30 PM, followed by the meeting at 7:00 PM.

During the meeting, we will catch up on Scion's progress as they work toward completion of their first builds. We will also discuss planning for our upcoming Young Eagles event on May 16th in Greeley (KGXY). Additionally, the Ray Aviation Scholarship applications are ready for distribution, so we can begin our search for a deserving candidate.

Congratulations to our Chapter 515 Ray aviation scholar, Micah Beaufore, on completing her written exam. Here she is, with Chapter 515 president Adam Woodward, receiving a Zulu 3 headset from LightSpeed and the EAA in recognition of her accomplishment. Just a few more cross country flights and she is planning on taking her practical exam in June!
