Troop 184 had an adventurous weekend working on our wilderness survival skills in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado. Proud of our newest scouts for jumping right in to learn to set up camp, chop wood, break trail, and yes, even wash dishes in the woods. Great teamwork and a fun way to spend the weekend!

Dinner at 5:45, closing campfire at 8:15. Long drive home in the morning!

Day 2 & 3 on the trail at Philmont Scout Ranch has been fantastic. We all been able to participate in archeology, black smithing, railroading and of course fantastic hiking and beautiful views. The first timers to the ranch got a taste of elevation climb outta the canyon into the forest above. Absolutely amazing!

First day on the trail at Philmont Scout Ranch. Feels great to be out of base camp and burning calories. We did pass our turn off for a camp and had to back track a bit. Lesson learned to slow down and pay attention instead of just rucking! Absolutely an amazing day!

The Troop has a little down time before hitting the trail. We are taking full advantage of it and taking in everything we can. If you have the opportunity, definitely walk through the museum at Philmont Scout Ranch. National Scouting Museum Amazing!!!
