Heads up. Yesterday a bunch of neighbors got this text message from Duke Energy:
Duke Energy: Equipment improvements will be made on March 9. Service will be interrupted to (my address) for approx 2 hours at 11:00 AM. We apologize for the inconvenience. If we are unable to complete the work, you will be notified. Learn more about planned maintenance at http://duk.us/27. To edit outage notifications, visit http://duk.us/03. Text STOP to cancel alerts.

Not sure if this applies to the whole neighborhood, but some neighbors didn't know about it.

Periodically, Duke Energy must manually interrupt electrical service to perform maintenance, complete repairs or make system upgrades to our equipment.

The City of Loveland Public Works Department offers free brush pick-up twice a year, in the spring and fall, for residents within city limits. Each street will receive one collection pass during each program.

Set-out deadline: Sunday night, March 15

Place brush in the grass behind the curb or edge of the roadway

A sincere thank you to everyone who attended the Brandywine Annual Meeting last night. We had strong participation, thoughtful questions, and meaningful discussion about the future of our community.

We also want to recognize and thank Jack Baldwin for his 11 years of dedicated service to Brandywine, including the past five years as Board President. His leadership, time, and commitment have made a lasting impact on the community, and he will be greatly missed in that role.

The meeting covered financial stewardship, infrastructure planning, community engagement, and the modernization of our voting process. Full approved minutes will be shared with the community once finalized.

Thank you again to everyone who continues to contribute their time, energy, and care to making Brandywine a strong community.

Leaf pickup: I called the city of Loveland today and they said that they are still coming around and picking up the leaves for the third and final pass that started December 1st. They had to wait for the snow and for things to dry out before they can pick up the leaves. With snow and rain, i'm not sure when there'll be out to get our leaves. At least they know that Brandywine is waiting in eager to get our leaves up.
