🫧NATURE SCHOOL NEWS🫧

Last week we learned about symbiotic relationships!

You might be wondering, what is a symbiotic relationship?

🍄 It’s a close, long-term interaction between two different species where at least one organism benefits.

The 3 types that we focused on:
• Mutualism (+,+)
• Commensalism (+,0)
• Parasitism (+,-)

Once we gained an understanding, we adventured to the trails and discovered symbiotic relationships in real time!

Experiential Learning ✅

Local Colorado Examples:

🐏Magpies eat ticks off Big Horn Sheep (Mutualism)
🐄Cattle Egrets follow cattle and eat the insects from the ground (Commensalism)
🌲Dwarf Mistletoe steals nutrients from Pine Trees (Parasitism)

💡Find your next adventure here:
Go outside and discover the symbiotic relationships near you!
