This hike is co-hosted by Heart-J Center and Combat Recovery Foundation. We'll hike Eagle Ridge at Sylvan Dale, which is a moderate hike of about three miles total. This hike is offered at no charge but registration is required so we can provide you with pre-trip information. Recommended for ages

This September, we're excited to welcome Matt Corradino and Bill Marple to the Heart-J Center for a two-day Primitive Survival & Tracking Intensive at Sylvan Dale Ranch.

Matt Corradino, former instructor under Tom Brown Jr. at the Tracker School and participant on Alone Season 8, and Bill Marple, a renowned tracker and former Marine Corps infantry officer, will lead participants through a weekend of hands-on learning in the field. Participants will explore skills including fire by friction, plant identification and uses, primitive shelter building, tracking, water procurement, and the philosophy behind primitive survival.

Whether you're new to survival skills or looking to expand your knowledge, this course offers an opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and connect with the land in a whole new way.
